            A Scotrail Sprinter 156 512 paces the old A75 east of Dunragit approaching the site of Challoch junction where the Port Road and Line to Girvan diverged. A new section of the A75 now bypasses the village. The new revised timetable means this service 1302 from Stranraer to Ayr (Change at Ayr now for Kilmarnock) is the last northbound service of the day. The last service into Stranraer being the 1732 from Ayr arriving in Stranraer at 1858. Not  exactly encouriging  people to travel by train.
