# Explore ... 1 ... # Chevalier guignette ( Actitis hypoleucos - Common Sandpiper )

            Le Chevalier guignette est connu pour sa démarche particulière en hochant la tête de haut en bas, son vol oscillant et les pointes blanches visibles en avant de l'aile.
Ce limicole de l'Ancien Monde fréquente une variété d'habitats en zones humides, aussi bien sur les côtes qu'à l'intérieur des terres, mais en général, il évite les vasières liées aux marées.
Le Chevalier guignette est migrateur et se déplace vers le sud au-dessus des terres en large front, traversant les déserts et les montagnes, habituellement pendant la nuit. C'est un petit limicole solitaire. Cependant, ils se rassemblent en groupes aux dortoirs, se posant quelquefois sur des bateaux amarrés. This Old World wading bird frequents a variety of habitats in wetlands, both on the coast and inland, but in general, it avoids mud flats linked to the tides.
The Little Knight is migratory and moves south over broad front lands, crossing deserts and mountains, usually at night. It is a small solitary wading bird.
