Piéride du chou ( Pieris brassicae )

            la Piéride de la rave ( Pieris rapae )  c'est un papillon de taille moyenne, aux ailes blanches avec des taches noires. L'apex de l'aile antérieure est noir comme chez la piéride du chou, mais cette tache est ici plus petite. Le dessus de l'aile antérieure porte au moins une tache discale noire, 2 chez la femelle. Le dessous des ailes postérieures est jaunâtre avec les nervures légèrement saupoudrées de gris, beaucoup moins que chez la piéride du navet, avec un aspect un peu frotté (rapé).

Pieris rapae is a medium-sized butterfly with white wings and black spots. The apex of the forewing is black as in cabbage cabbage, but this spot is here smaller. The top of the forewing has at least one black disc spot, 2 in the female. The underwing of the hindwings is yellowish with the veins slightly sprinkled with gray, much less than with the turnip pedestal, with a slightly rubbed aspect.
