Bob stretching to be taller (Explored)

            I've already uploaded several in this series, but when I went back to the folder on my computer to get a shot for another use, I realized that in this pose the rear turtle is stretching its neck out, making it the only shot in which the turtles' heads are three different heights. I suppose to get the full "circus elephant" pose effect, the higher head is nice. Since it was one of my favorite photo chances of the year, I uploaded this one, too.

Turtles are generally very easily spooked. But these painted turtles were in a pond next to a walking trail in southern Indiana, so they had to ignore people if they were to have any chance at sun. In addition, it had been wet all month, so sun was at a premium. And some of the local wildlife has probably become familiar with me and my camera. So the third turtle crawled into position as I watched and took photos. Spring of 2019 officially ended just an hour or two after I took this shot, and I consider this series among my best photos of the year. Chrysemys picta, painted turtle, southern Indiana, USA.
