Long-Eared Owl / Hibou moyen-duc / Asio otus

             Cet hibou magnifique est toujours dans les environs. Il s'agit juste de le situer dans son environnement de cachettes et camouflages. À peine 6 jours plus tôt il côtoyait deux Lapones et une Petite nyctale.
On se souviendra aussi que 3 jours plus tard (dans le même bosquet, à quelques épinettes de là) une Nyctale de tengmalm fut recueillie morte de faim et de froid.

This beautiful Long Eared Owl is still with us. If you can find it, as it is a master of camouflage. Just 6 days ago it was thriving along side a couple of Great Grays and a saw-whet.
Six days later, sadly enough, a Boreal Owl was found in the same cluster, just a few trees away, frozen dead lying at the foot of a spruce tree.
