Österreich / Austria: Dürnstein - a photo on Flickriver

            Der oberste Teil der Ruine der Burg Dürnstein (Niederösterreich) aus einem der Höfe der ehemaligen Burg.
Die Burg ist sehr bekannt, weil der englische König Richard Löwenherz bei seiner Rückkehr vom dritten Kreuzzug im Auftrag des Babenbergers Leopold V hier gefangen gehalten wurde.

The top section of the ruins of Dürnstein Castle above river Danube in the Wachau region (Lower Austria). 
The castle is known for being one of the places where King Richard I of England, returning from the Third Crusade, was imprisoned after being captured near Vienna by Duke Leopold V of Austria, from December 1192 until his extradition to Emperor Henry VI in March 1193 (Wikipedia).
