Telcos are such bastards. Lying bastards! Incompetent bastards.

I called my Telco about connection and reliability issues, with my copper connection. Back in April, the Telco representative told me, "Your copper connection will be cut soon. You must switch to NBN."I insisted they were incorrect, because I live in a rural area that will not be subject to the NBN rollout. The representative insisted I was incorrect and that the NBN Co. rollout plan has changed and I must switch. I did. Instead of NBN provided by satellite, I chose Fixed Wireless, because I have line-of-sight with this tower less than 500m away. That lie precipitated 5 months worth of aggravation, including being unable to call internationally and cannot use the phones provided as an Extension. Plus, I am forced to have a backup mobile phone to call Emergency Services. Over the five months I have had to do troubleshooting, had to make innumerable calls and sit on Hold for 15 minutes or more, followed by expressing the deficiencies and troubleshooting steps over the next hour, with the folks in an offshore Call Center asking the same damned questions I provided information for. I filed a complaint with the Communication Industry Ombudsman . . . They were about as worthless as Fair Work Ombudsman. I don't want to hear your fucking excuses, exceptions, or what you cannot do, because it is not within your scope of policy or jurisdiction. In good faith, I paid for a telephone and internet service contract. What happened to the premise that "The Customer Is Always Right"?
