Esta imagen es el resultado de muchas cosas que han estado pendientes por cerca de 2 meses. Primero, había comprado esta tela color amarillo mostaza para usarla al instante, y no me fue posible hasta el pasado sábado... quien lo diría. Esta imagen vino a mi mente en medio de un bloqueo mental. Un día, mientras editaba una de mis fotos, sentía que no estaba conforme con los colores o el modo en que la había tomado... me sentí un poco frustrado, así que decidí parar y continuar luego, para seguir después con la mente fresca. Estuve así por cerca de 3 días, y empecé a pensar si esto podía volverse regular, como iba a hacer para salir de los bloqueos para mantener mi mente positiva y la imaginación activa. Fue allí cuando pensé... "Umm.. mantener mi imaginación viva... aquí hay algo".
Esta imagen es el resultado de ese pensamiento. Enseguida bosquejé la idea de un chico que para mantener viva su imaginación, debe esforzarse más de la cuenta, está sediento de crear, y no puede contenerse, pero de vez en cuando tiene dificultades para seguir.
Pensé en hacer esta imagen con otra amiga, pero me parece que era más adecuado hacerla de este modo. Con mi amiga, ella se encontraba de espaldas, y al final, no sentía que la imagen me llenaba.
En otras noticias, este sábado dicté mi primer taller de fotografía, al que llamé "Retratos experimentales". Un grupo de 9 personas y yo nos reunimos, hablamos, conversamos, compartimos y creamos por un espacio de 6 horas. Estuve hablando sobre mi y mis inicios en fotografía, el proceso que uso para crear mis ideas, los participantes crearon sus propias ideas, y finalmente me vieron editar una de las fotos... esta foto que estan viendo aquí.
Todos ayudamos a crear la foto de los demás, y dimos ideas y opciones, la imaginación estuvo activa en todo momento. A medida que avanzabamos, se notaba como las ideas salian a flor de piel, sin necesidad de forzarlo. Pronto estaré compartiendo más detalles en mi blog sobre este evento, y además, las fotos que cada uno de los participantes logró crear como resultado del taller.
Estoy muy felíz de poder haber cumplido esta meta para este año, y para mi vida. Poder compartir todo lo que he aprendido en estos años es algo que me alegra mucho. La experiencia fue de lo más reconfortante, y espero poder repetirla pronto. Pendiente entonces de mi nota en el blog y de las imágenes que todos estaremos compartiendo en facebook.

To keep myself alive
Happy Monday to everyone!
This image is the result of many things that have been pending for about 2 months. First, I had bought this mustard yellow fabric for use instantly, and I was not able to use it till the last Saturday ... who would say. This image came to mind in the midst of a mental block. One day while editing one of my photos, I felt I was not happy with the colors or the way it had taken ... I felt a little frustrated, so I decided to stop and then continue to follow later with a fresh mind . The state continued for about 3 days and I began to wonder if this could become regular, as it was going to make out of locks to keep my positive mind and active imagination. That's when I thought ... "Umm .. keep my imagination alive ... here's something."
This image is the result of that thought. Then I sketched the idea of a guy that to keep his imagination alive, must do more of it, thirsts to create, and you can not help but occasionally has difficulty following.
I thought about doing this with another friend, but I think it was more appropriate to do it this way. With my friend, she was showing her back, and in the end, I felt that the image didn't filled me.
In other news, this Saturday I taught my first photography workshop, I called it "experimental portraits". A group of 9 people and I meet, talk, share and created for 6 hours. I talked about me and my beginnings in photography, the process I use to create my ideas, participants created their own ideas, and finally saw me edit a photo ... this photo you are seeing here.
We all helped in creaing the photo of the other, and gave ideas and options, imagination was active at all times. As we advanced, it showed how the ideas came out to the surface, without forcing it. Soon I'll be sharing more details in my blog about this event, and also the photos that each participant was able to create as a result of the workshop.
I am very happy to be able to have accomplish this goal for this year, and my life. Being able to share everything I've learned over the years is something that I am very pleased. The experience was most rewarding, and I hope to repeat it soon. Pending then my note on the blog and all the pictures will be sharing on facebook.
