Looming Arms of the Ancient Beasts - a photo on Flickriver

            Old woods cry witness to many a dark night.
Mad beasts stir loudly along an unsteady path.
Uneasy footsteps tread quietly forward.
Looming arms crash down as time stops.

This photo is from the same location as my earlier photo, "Ancient Beasts" deep within the forests of Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge. I have been wanting to re-shoot this old oak tree with a wider angle and a better perspective. The old Carl Zeiss Flektogon did the trick. I felt monochrome gave this scene the best mood.
