Indiana Jones (Advent Calendar) - a photo on Flickriver

"Throw me the gifts, and I'll throw you the whip!"

Ask me what my favorite movie is, and I'll say "Raiders of the Lost Ark". So here's my dream advent calendar for The Brothers Brick's Create a Calendar contest!

Featuring icons from Indy's three classic adventures. Here's some clues in case you forgot what they are (and in case of that, how dare you!):

-- Mine Cart from the fun "Temple of Doom" chase scene.
-- "He chose...poorly." (The Holy Grail scene from "The Last Crusade")
-- Marion Ravenwood. The pan's more useful for cookies than fighting!
-- Indiana Jones in a Santa suit, refusing to wear a santa hat because, of course, his fedora.
-- Golden Idol pedestal from the legendary opening scene.
-- Ark of the Covenant from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (duh)
-- Convoy Truck from the too-awesome chase scene. Also a shoutout to the cool LEGO set.
-- "There's a big snake in the plane, Jock!!!" Jock's Plane & Reggie the Snake
-- "Hey lady, you call him Dr. Jones!" Short Round, because who doesn't love Short Round?
-- The Nazi U-boat that Indy miraculously rode without drowning

...and let's pretend the fourth movie never existed.

The 20 parts per model limit was a challenge, but it was a really, really fun build. Man I miss this series. If there's only one reason for LEGO to make this calendar, it's so I could get that blasted Golden Idol piece I've always wanted, haha!
