            White-faced Ibis, Pleads chihi, 23 in.  Locally COMMON, in shallow water, pools, grassy marshes or meadows and agricultural fields.  In the 116 degree (it would get warmer) heat 500+ of these birds blanketed flooded farm fields. 

Hwy 111 and MacDonald Road, Niland, Imperial County, California, USA.
