            Ruddy-headed Goose, Chloephaga rubidiceps, 45 - 50 cm / 18 - 20 in.  RARE, fewer than 800 in Chile.  Local and SCARSE in large areas of seasonally flooded grasslands within Patagonian steppe.  

Ashy-headed Goose, Chloephaga poliocephala, 50   - 55 cm / 20 - 22 in.  Sheldgoose of wooded swamps, wet meadows and other wetlands adjacent to Nothofagus forest, flooded fields and meadows.
