No Plastics Allowed - Canada Line Broadway Station, Vancouver BC

            When I was standing there, the sign and graffiti on the far wall, the cafe and produce awning, and the queues and milling people, kind of cemented a feeling of deja vu 1960s street scenes in old photos. And as of December 2021 this view doesn't exist anymore. The building with the sign has been torn down to build out a new condo tower at the same time as building a new station for a new subway line east to west  along/under this street, crossing the existing line going north to south. The existing station entrance is to the right.

A bit of a documentary photo. This is the transfer point between Broadway Avenue buses and the Canada Line (Cambie Line) subway in Vancouver BC. The Broadway line is the highest volume bus route in the city which will be made mostly redundant in the near future, once the new Broadway subway line is built (it has started). These transfers will mostly be underground at that point, and scenes like this will be history.
