The shot is of the head porter at the rather fine Hotel Mahandra Prakash in Udaipur, Rajasthan. We were leaving the hotel early and he had sorted the bags and was taking 5 minutes to have a look at the paper and have a quick smoke. Sadly we had no common language but he was happy to be photographed and was pleased with the result.
