Luca makes cake x 2 - a photo on Flickriver

            Our poor families, when we want to get better at taking snaps of people our family step up as models, great fun though...this taken with no flash at a high ISO. Florescent light in the kitchen gives the light and a strong natural light (back light) via the window, for blond people this always seems to be good to give a sort of halo effect. 
Good that we have RAW processing is all I can say! Very good to sort out the white balance. But, hence the blue cast on the background, not an artistic endeavour from the photographer.

The lens was the Nikkor 85 mm wide open at f1.8. Hand held shot with me leaning against the wall to get some stability, Some cropping required to lose the rest of the scene.
