L' Autunno - Hommage a Vivaldi N°1

I was a bit scared about using my wide angle Zeiss ZM lenses (especially the 2,8/15 Distagon) together with my new Nikon Z7 which I've got much faster than expected. I was afraid of red corners and so on, all that stuff that has been a big theme in the past, even with Leica cameras.
I'm using the Novoflex adapter which is working very well. Of course, it is not made to deliver any information about the lens as there is only the unique bar code with Leica lenses, which does not exist for ZM lenses as far one has not made the extra effort coding ZM lenses with Leica codes (this procedure is well described in the web).

Good news: Adobe Lightroom in its actual version now includes profiles of most of the ZM lenses, at least up to 50 mm. So you can shoot and add the profiles in Lightroom.

Very best news: all Zeiss ZM wide angle lenses I own are working perfectly with the Nikon Z7. Color cast is no theme, even in raw files that are containing no profiles at all. Of course you will see all of the real vignetting the lens has. You can completely fix that via the profiles but I prefer correction of vignetiing depending to the subject between 0 and 100 % as vignetting can often add some drama to the scenery.

I'll call that series of my first autumnal shots with the Nikon Z7 »L' Autunno - Hommage a Vivaldi« as I hope these pictures are breathing the spirit of autumn and Vivaldis Masterpiece might be well suted to make a hommage (I hope my pictures are well suited too).

This is a cherry tree in my frankonian homeland. Unusually, it has still coloured leaves in november due to the special climatic conditions we had in the year 2018 in germany.
