Bellevue Hill Summit Scramble - We didn't see any bears on this hike, but we did see this badger, a first for us!

            This was our third hike in three days, having completed the lovely walk to Mt Albert on Monday, and the more strenuous Bertha Peak summit scramble on Tuesday. We had done some research, and thought it would be a walk in the park, so to speak. It  was anything but, which some nasty bushwhacking through brush and high weeds, and a very tricky descent down a narrow gully on the return.  Thanks to our skill and patience, we made it through this tough scramble nicely.
