Entrance to the inner harbour, Mevagissey, Cornwall

            Mevagissey is a renowned fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall, and is said to have the second largest fishing fleet in the county. It has two harbours - an inner one dating from the late 1700s, and an outer one that was developed about one hundred years later. Pictured on the left is the entrance to the inner harbour.

The two white-painted buildings left of centre are both former warehouses and are Grade II-listed. The lower of the two dates from the late 1700s and the taller one on the right dates from the early to mid-1800s.
