Mevagissey harbour at low tide, Cornwall (Explored)

            I normally check the tide table before visiting any of Cornwall's fishing villages but on this occasion I misread it and arrived a little too early. But rather than wait for the water levels to rise I decided to do some low tide shots and see if I could avoid making the harbour look like a mud bowl.

Mevagissey is on the south coast of Cornwall, where it sits between two steep hillsides. This is the inner harbour where the quays date back to the 1700s when they were built on the site of the original medieval harbour. It is the second biggest fishing port in Cornwall.
