Every year when I dismantle my Christmas displays, I promise to make some changes in my Betty Boop displays around the house, and document these changes through my photography.

I never seem to get around to it. I don't have many visitors, so nobody except me and a few "followers" on social media ever see my displays, curated from over 40 years of collecting.
Using my lights and new tripod, I am planning to finally go ahead on this promise to myself, and began photographing in earnest, after making some new arrangements.

"Millennium Betty" which was purchased in 1999, had to be fixed. I removed her clothing and arms and tightened the arms. The 24 year old elastic bands connecting them lost their elastic long ago, and Betty had a hard time holding up the torch. I did some cleaning, and had to add a twistem to the torch anyway, but at least now her arm is raised.

In the center is a yarn octopus which my mother made long long ago. On the left, the silver tin ashtray is from Pearl Harbor in 1945. The little Disney Cinderella Castle is from the 50th anniversary of Disneyland in 2005. You'll see a little robot toy on the right which I found on the ground one day while taking my walk here in the mobile estates where I live.

I hope to keep this up, sort of a "New Year's Resolution", while the weather is gloomy outside, and before I take off for Hawaii on Feb. 6th.
