Our Type of Star Hotel @ Rub' al Khali, Oman

Indeed, I feel much comfortable on the lap of the nature than even those super star hotels. No, I wouldn't lie. I do like the hospitality of a big hotel or the warmth of a large city. However if it comes to choice between a place like this and a five star, I will chose the nature always above anything else.

In the modern complex and political society; such places give you the strength to be simple and straight forward. Such places teach you the meaning of life. Such places tell you that life doesn't have to be so restless.

This was just after dinner during our stay at the Oman side of Rub' al Khali (the Empty Quarter). We had a very simple dinner; but after the travel and climbs to the dune of the whole day; the dinner tested heavenly. We had a nice and cozy tent to sleep and the light is coming from that tent. A place with only noise of the sand flowing through the wind and the light was only of the star on the sky. No pollution or ciaos. We did go up a small dune and enjoyed the silence and soaked the emptiness, darkness and purity of the nature for some time. Also took that as an opportunity to capture a memory. Even though an image says nothing about the feeling we had; it still brings a smile back to our face at difficult times.

Regarding the image; it is a composite shot with the foreground taken with a longer exposure of 8 minutes in ISO 200 stacked with 9 ISO 3200 images of the sky and one ISO 800 image of ourselves sitting there.
