56081 - 1Z58 (Ferry Boat Lane Footbridge).

            56081 is seen approaching Ferry Boat Lane Footbridge shortly after departing from Mexborough Railway Station along with 56098 on the rear working UK Railtours "The Class 56 Farewell" 1Z58 13:36 Barrow Hill L.I.P. to Spring Bank South Jn on the 14th January 2023.

This image doesn't tell the whole story of this shot (which nearly didn't happen).

Upon noticing the Grids had arrived at Mexborough the 1J47 12:40½ Bridlington to Sheffield worked by 158752 was held just outside the station due to the railtour straddling Mexborough Jn.

The Railtour looked to be departing after dropping a member of staff off and with no sign of the unit moving most of the 25+ photters started to run up the ramp to get on the otherside of the footbridge. 

The Railtour then stopped again after clearing Mexborough Jn to allow the unit to proceed.

All in all everyone got the shot they wanted in the end. Happy Days....👌.
