            Hello amazing Flickr people! 
Today is a day off in Canada! So, I’m enjoying the long weekend without any video meeting! But today is also a red day at Color My World Daily and we have a very unique theme at Macro Mondays. In fact, this week’s theme is wabi-sabi. “Wabi-sabi a Japanese word roughly translating as 'imperfect aged beauty'. It is used to describe a particular philosophy that beauty can be found in the old, the everyday, the imperfect, broken and decaying subjects”. 

So here we go: a red wabi-sabi Monday!

I decided to show you a detail of my old red book with golden pages… It is truly gorgeous, old, falling apart in the most beautiful way. My old book is dusty, and the pages are very fragile. In my opinion it is a perfect example of “imperfect aged beauty”. And since I have a new obsession, very tiny old wooden pencils, I added one to my composition. It is very tiny: 1,5 cm. It has to be sharpened with a knife, like it was done 40 years ago … My tiny red pencil is old and imperfect, but he has a huge personality! And I'm sure we will see it again!
