Salföld - a photo on Flickriver

Salföld

            Salföld is a tiny village north of Lake Balaton in Hungary. 
The population is around 90. 
The history of the village is more impressive. It has been a settlement of Hungarians already around year 900 B.C.
most of the houses are beautifully renovated and maintained. Often the owners are city dwellers elsewhere and use the village home as a "summer residence". 

There is an ecological farm here (Salföld Manor), where visitors can learn about traditional Hungarian breeds of farm animals.
