Ending the day in the San Luis Valley

            On my maiden voyage to the San Luis Valley to witness the Sand Hill Crane migration, I ended my first day witnessing the peaceful process of hundreds, perhaps thousands of Sand Hill Cranes bedding down for the night with the incredibly majestic backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. From right to left, I'm going to try to identify these mighty points, all of which I've climbed: Crestone Needle, Crestone Peak, Columbia Point, Kit Carson Peak, Challenger Point, and Mount Adams... I love being back in Colorado!
