Stranger 545 - Koos - a photo on Flickriver

Koos had only been in Glastonbury a day. His partner, Floortje, had already been here a week. She had come for the Goddess Conference. The couple live in Amsterdam. Koos had made the journey on his motorbike. He had brought an extra helmet for Floortje, they will travel back together.

Koos teaches Argentine tango and yoga. Floortje has a studio where she teaches pole dancing. Koos was much taller than me and I had him sitting on a step for the portraits. As I turned on my camera it displayed the message “no space on card”. I had a spare card with me so I quickly switched them over, while Koos waited patiently. The original card was empty and it might have worked by removing it and putting it back but I figured why take the chance?

After photographing Koos, I asked the couple if they would like a photo together. They arranged themselves very nicely for a portrait. After this we exchanged words of thanks and goodbyes.

Floortje would have made a lovely subject for my project too but I felt that I had interrupted the couple long enough. Also I had a long walk home ahead of me. Perhaps this was why I didn’t ask if she would like to be in my project too? I am not sure. I felt in need of hydration too. I’d walked from home across the fields, been up and down the Tor and hadn’t worn a hat today (because it was overcast).
