Stranger 499 - Stephanie - a photo on Flickriver

“Are you an actress?”, I asked Stephanie, when Francesca (stranger 498) told me that her friend needed some profile photos, for her work. “Oh no, I’d like to get some work as an Extra”, Stephanie told me. “Would you like to be in my strangers project?”, I asked. I would have been happy to take some photos of Stephanie even if she didn’t want to be one of my strangers but she was happy to participate anyway.

Francesca told me that Stephanie had done wonderful work teaching German. Stephanie said “She’s always bigging me up!” Francesca said that it was true that Stephanie had been a great German teacher.

The three of us were sitting at the base of St Michael’s tower. Chatting a little, as I like to do before picking up my camera. Stephanie was interested to know about the reactions to my requests of strangers, to take their photos. She asked if more people said “yes” than “no”. This led to me talking about my project at length. I must learn to talk a little bit and then check to see whether the other person is still interested… I can go on and on. Stephanie and Francesca did seem interested in at least one of my stories.

Thank you Stephanie for being part of my project. It was great to meet you. I look forward to seeing you on TV or the big screen!
