Calshot Spit è un banco di sabbia e ghiaia lungo un miglio, vicino al villaggio di Calshot, situato sulla riva meridionale dell'estremità aperta di Southampton Water, sulla costa meridionale dell'Inghilterra.
Alla fine della penisola si trovano il castello di Calshot (costruito dal re Enrico VIII), la guardia costiera e un'ex stazione di idrovolanti della Royal Navy e della Royal Air Force. Storicamente lo status del sito come base militare ha fornito un grado di protezione per la flora locale.

Calshot Spit is a one-mile long sand and shingle bank, near the village of Calshot, located on the southern bank of the open end of Southampton Water, on the south coast of England.
At the end of the spit are Calshot Castle (built by King Henry VIII), an RNLI lifeboat and a former Royal Navy and Royal Air Force flying boat station. Historically the site's status as a military base provided a degree of protection for the local flora.
