Wilson Inlet-Southern Ocean - a photo on Flickriver

            The exit of fresh water into the Southern Ocean.... normally a cut has to be made, and each year there are discussions..... on the East side of the Bar, No, the west side of the Bar, and then No, don't cut it at all!
Always it becomes a source of entertainment, with the political overtones.  And then, when the decision is made, it is a great day out watching the big machinery, and then the water from the inlet pouring out!
