20110825 Tiered Metropolis

The tiered buildings of Market Street and Lawnmarket, with Waverley Bridge in the foreground, and the spire of St Giles Church and turrets of Edinburgh Castle in the back. Shot from Calton Hill, Scotland.

Taken with a Nikon D40, fitted with a Tamron 70-300mm F4/5.6 DI LD (Nikon AFS) lens and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

I didn't quite stop down enough for this, it's only at 5.6 so had to do a bit of sharpening in post. Hopefully it looks ok?
