            I only recently became aware of this Chinon camera, and I quickly decided I would have to have one. But the prices they were selling for in eBay was a bit steep for my taste. So I would have to wait for just the right bargain listing. To my surprise I found such a listing much sooner than I expected to. It immediately felt like a "Stylus Epic killer" to me. Same great 35mm f/2.8 lens specs, sliding lens cover that switches the camera on when you open it, yet it's a fair bit larger than the Stylus Epic, which honestly was a good thing considering I have big hands. Yeah, this felt right. And after my first roll, I can tell you it's definitely right. Chinon hit this one out of the park.

The Chinon Auto 3001 was first released in 1987 and was also sold as a Revue 900 AF Multi as well as the Kodak S1100 XL (though the Kodak version was altered cosmetically and looks quite different on the outside). It originally sold for $350 USD, which was on the high side due to its advanced specs and features.
