Necking

Four photos of 'necking' giraffes, taken in the Ndutu Area of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania, Africa (near Lake Masek). Male giraffes use their necks as weapons in combat, a behaviour known as "necking". Necking is used to establish dominance and males that win necking bouts have greater reproductive success.

These photos were taken using an M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro lens @125mm.
