Caprarola - La Scala Regia di Palazzo Farnese

            Palazzo Farnese di Caprarola (VT) è uno dei più bei palazzi italiani di epoca manierista. Progettato dal Vignola, all'interno è, per la maggior parte, affrescato a grottesche e con temi mitologici, dai fratelli Zuccari, su suggerimenti di Annibal Caro.
E' progettato a pianta pentagonale. Per la sua particolare esposizione, alcuni appartamenti venivano abitati d'estate, altri in inverno.
La Scala Regia poteva essere salita a cavallo fino all'ingresso delle camere da letto.
