Tempel des Großen Buddha in Zhangye - dafo si

            Tempel des Großen Buddha in Zhangye, erbaut im Jahre 1098. In ihm befindet sich der größte liegende Buddha Chinas (33 m lang). An diesem Morgen war es grimmige -8° C kalt, dafür hat man zu dieser Jahreszeit solche Sehenswürdigkeiten fast für sich alleine. Im Sommer tummeln sich hier 5 mal so viele Touristen wie im Kölner Dom ;-)

Temple of the Big Buddha in Zhangye, built in 1098. It contains the largest reclining Buddha in China (33 m long). This morning it was bitter cold (- 8° C), but at this time of year you have such sights almost to yourself. In summer there are 5 times as many tourists as in Cologne Cathedral ;-)
