CHAINED UP IN MY ENDING MOMENTS,
I GIVE IT MY ALL, TO BREAK FREE
TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE
AS I SEE THAT, ONE OF MY WINGS HAS BEEN TORN FROM ME

MY BODY IS A BLOODIED MESS
AND, MY MUSCLES ACHING IN EXTREME
I GO TO FIND MY OWN VOICE
AS I TRY TO BEG FOR MERCY, OR TRY TO SCRAM SCREAM

WHAT HAS HAPPENED? WHO DID THIS?
ARE THE QUESTIONS, THAT PLAY THROUGH MY HEAD
IS THIS A NIGHTMARE THAT I AM HAVING?
OR HAVE I BEEN FORSAKEN, INSTEAD?

MY MIND IS IN A WHIRLPOOL
AS I FEEL MYSELF GETTING WEAK
"JUST HOLD ON", I TELL MYSELF
AS I HEAR THE WORDS WHISPERED BACK, "RELEASE"

I LIFT UP, TO SEE WHO MUTTERED THOSE WORDS
AND, EVERYTHING COMES CHRYSTAL CLEAR, TO ME
I WAS ALONE, AND MY OWN THOUGHTS THAT WERE RESURFACING
AS I REMEMBERED PLEADING TO BE FREE OF, DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY.
