Autumn at Sacré-Cœur - a photo on Flickriver

            Compared to the Notre Dame Cathedral, which started construction in 1163, the  Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, or simply Sacré-Cœur is quite new with only being consecrated in 1919. It was inspired to expiate the crimes of the Paris Commune and bring order to an otherwise rebellious neighbourhood of Paris.
