*Listspinne* @ *nursery web spider* - a photo on Flickriver

            For a change, here's another macro shot from the depths of the archives:
The nursery web spider (pisaura mirabilis) is supposedly widespread in Germany, but I only saw one once in my garden years ago. It's a diurnal predatory spider that doesn't build a web. The female carries the egg sac in her mouthparts, as shown above.

Zur Abwechslung mal wieder ein Makro aus den Tiefen des Archivs:
die Listspinne (pisaura mirabilis) ist angeblich in Deutschland weit verbreitet, habe sie aber vor Jahren nur einmal im Garten beobachten können. Sie ist eine tagaktive Raubspinne, die kein Netz baut. Das Weibchen trägt den Eikokon in den Mundwerkzeugen mit sich rum, siehe oben.
