*Cochem castle in the first sunlight*

            *Reichsburg Cochem im ersten Sonnenlicht*

In mid-August I made another attempt to photograph Cochem Castle and the city in the morning mist during sunrise. A favorable location is the so-called Pinner Cross, a viewing point to which you can hike from below and from above. Unfortunately, as is so often the case, the weather didn't do what the many weather apps had predicted, because the fog wasn't in the valley, but over the surrounding Moselle mountains. That's why it took an hour after sunrise for the sun to appear.

Mitte August machte ich einen erneuten Versuch, die Burg Cochem und die Stadt im Morgennebel während des Sonnenaufgangs zu fotografieren. Ein günstiger Standort ist das sogenannte Pinner Kreuz, ein Aussichtspunkt, zu dem man von unten und von oben wandern kann. Leider machte das Wetter wie so oft nicht das, was die vielen Wetter-Apps vorhergesagt hatten, denn der Nebel war nicht im Tal, sondern über den umliegenden Moselbergen. Deshalb dauerte es eine Stunde nach Sonnenaufgang, bis die Sonne sich zeigte.
