White Mill NT -Dorset-141020 (2) - a photo on Flickriver

            This is near the starting point for one of my walks along the River Stour where occasionally otters & Kingfishers can be seen. The building is owned by the National Trust & open to the public. The house to the right hand side of the property is occupied (not open to the public).

An 18th-century corn mill in a peaceful, rural setting on the edge of the river Stour. Rebuilt in 1776 on a site marked in the Domesday Book, this substantial mill was extensively repaired in 1994 and still retains its original elm and applewood machinery (now too fragile to be used).
