            La Basílica de San Isidoro de León, también conocida como Real Colegiata, es uno de los conjuntos arquitectónicos románicos más importantes de España y Europa. El templo actual fue erigido en el siglo XI por orden de los reyes Fernando I y Sancha, sobre una iglesia anterior dedicada a San Juan Bautista. En 1063, se trasladaron aquí las reliquias de San Isidoro de Sevilla, lo que dio nombre a la basílica. La iglesia presenta una planta de cruz latina con tres naves y tres ábsides, y destaca por su armonía arquitectónica. En su interior, se encuentran elementos de influencia islámica, como los arcos de la cúpula del crucero . Museo de San Isidoro - Real Colegiata El Panteón Real Uno de los espacios más emblemáticos es el Panteón de los Reyes, conocido como la "Capilla Sixtina del Románico" por sus frescos del siglo XII, que representan escenas bíblicas y de la vida cotidiana. En este lugar reposan los restos de 23 monarcas del Reino de León .
 
The Basilica of San Isidore of León, also known as the Royal Collegiate Church, is one of the most important Romanesque architectural complexes in Spain and Europe. Located in the heart of the city of León, its history, art, and symbolism make it a must-see destination. History and Architecture  
The current temple was built in the 11th century by order of King Ferdinand I and Queen Sancha, over a previous church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. In 1063, the relics of Saint Isidore of Seville were transferred here, giving the basilica its name. Later, in the 12th century, Sankha Raimundo expanded the complex, consolidating its Romanesque style.
The church has a Latin cross floor plan with three naves and three apses, and it stands out for its architectural harmony. Inside, one can find elements of Islamic influence, such as the arches of the dome at the crossing.
The Royal Pantheon One of the most iconic spaces is the Royal Pantheon, known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Romanesque" due to its 12th-century frescoes, which depict biblical scenes and aspects of daily life. This is the resting place of 23 monarchs of the Kingdom of León.
