Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Today was another run out to The Monkey Temple.
Even though I was there yesterday I had completely
forgot about Baby Mickeys rabies shot due on the 4th.

So, after the dog clinic had opened I showed up.
Purchased the proper medication packed in
ice and took off for The Monkey Temple.

Now, I'm halfway there and still in the middle
of no-where when the front tire blew-out !
When the front tire of a scooter blows
it creates one hell of a wild ride !

This puts me in a very precarious situation with
medicine packed in ice in 40 +C temperature
and no help in sight with traffic rushing by.

Idling along in first gear with my feet dangling
just enough to touch the ground I pressed on.
About 20 minutes later I spot a fire station
maybe 1500 meters ahead.Like an oasis
in the dessert, I've been saved..........;-)

Now here comes the really cool part of this story.

In front of the fire station is a man painting an
object with a spray-gun attached to a compressor.
Problem being you must have the proper attachment
for the compressor in order to pump the tire up with air.

No body spoke any English so hand gestures were used.
Didn't take long and they understood I was heading for
The Monkey Temple and had medicine on-board 4
the temple dogs. Next thing I know a fire-station
pickup pulls in and the scooter is loaded
into the back along with me and one
more fireman. Off we go flying
down the road towards
the Chanthaburi ---
Rayong border.

We pull into a motorcycle shop alongside the road.
Bike is removed and tire is quickly repaired......The
inner-tube had just split in two pieces 4 no reason.
Once they found out I was heading to The Monkey
Temple with medicine they refused any payment !
That my friends, is what you call true Buddhism ;-)

Tomorrow Mr Boney Baloney goes in to
have his stitches removed.So far so good.
