Sauk City Damn - a photo on Flickriver

Sauk City Damn

            This was taken at the bottom of the Alliant Energy Dam looking east over the turbulent waters of the Wisconsin River. The flowing water contacting the bitter cold air caused a seemingly never ending supply of water vapor to rise up from the water and condense forming all kinds of mist. Just that would have been neat to see, but the sun decided to paint the mist and the water various shades of orange making this a truly awesome sight to behold.
