Grüner Zipfelfalter (Callophrys rubi)

            Der Schmetterling des Jahres 2020 gehört zu den Bläulingen, obwohl er grün ist.
Er lebt auf strukturreichen offenen und halboffenen Standorten wie lichten Wäldern, Gebüschen, Wiesen und Heiden.
Die Raupen fressen Blüten, Blätter und unreife Früchte einer ganzen Reihe verschiedener Pflanzenarten. Auch die ausgewachsenen Schmetterlinge saugen Nektar an unterschiedlichen Blüten, darunter Hahnenfuß, Klee, Weißdorn und Hartriegel.
Dennoch wird auch dieser kleine Tagfalter immer seltener.
Die Heidelbeere scheint seine wichtigste Eiablagepflanze zu sein.
In Nordrhein-Westfalen gilt der Grüne Zipfelfalter als stark gefährdet, in den hiesigen Naturschutzgebieten Holter Wald, Furlbachtal und Moosheide kommt er jedoch noch vor, weil auf dem sauren Sandboden die Heidelbeere gut gedeiht.
