La Preda Rossa

            Un tempo, narra la leggenda, l'intera valle era occupara da pascoli rigogliosi e da boschi bellissimi, ma l'egoismo dei pastori, che non vollero accogliere Cristo che si presentò loro nelle vesti di un umile mendicande, attirò su di loro la terribile punizione divina: dal fianco del Sasso Arso e dei Corni Bruciati cadde sugli sventurati una pioggia di massi infuocati, e da allora la valle assunse l'aspetto attuale, dominato dalla tonalità rossastra, che ricorda l'immane incendio. A memoria della punizione divina, alla quale un solo pastore scampò, il nome del monte che domina la valle fu mutato da pizzo Bello a monte Disgrazia.
