Cub Scout Lego Derby - a photo on Flickriver

This year in our Cub Scout troop, instead of doing the traditional Pinewood Derby, we opted instead for constructing cars using Legos and running them down a track. I for one liked this much better. Instead of spending countless hours working on a car only to discover a neighbor bought a manufactured winner off the internet, the boys spent about half an hour putting Lego cars together and then racing. There were no real winners so everyone got a trophy. Yay! And as can be seen from the photo, the building and racing were not limited to just the Scouts. Sisters and other family members were also welcome to build and race.
