eternal summer

            the thing you miss the most about being a teenager, at least when you're a young adult, is how intense and magical everything. it didn't mean everything WAS magical, but it felt like it could be. sometimes that goes away. i'm here because i want that feeling back. not in a regressive way. i don't have any desire to be a teenager again. but to know that going forward doesn't have to mean leaving behind the power of feeling and potential in the past. flickr was the most magical place for me when i was a teenager. it's where i fell in love with photography and realized this was all i wanted for myself. this is the right place to start.

this photo is from a project that i began at the end of october to help me cope with my seasonal affective disorder. as far back as elementary school, i've imagined my life as a movie. sometimes it's romantic and beautiful, sometime it isn't. this space is for both. i'm going to embark on a project365 before the year is out, but rather than taking a photo a day which i know will be impossible for me, i will make it one new, original upload a day. here's to every spark and every cider of 2017.
