European Hornet ... flying with prey, a Common Wasp
Hornisse ................... fliegend mit Beute, eine Gemeine Wespe
Stor Gedehams ....... flyver med bytte, en Almindelig Gedehams

Windfallen pears attracted many flies and some wasps. The Hornets took advantage of the sweet fruits for themselves and preyed on the wasps as nutrition for their larvae. I also watched several failed attempts to catch flies.
