City fireworks - a photo on Flickriver

City fireworks

Talk about luck - I had no idea fireworks were going to be let off in Melbourne tonight, I just happened to be in the right place and the right time! No idea what they were for...only lasted less than 10 minutes, maybe it was a practice run?
Exposure was 4 seconds, ISO 400, using the Tamron 24-70 (open to 24mm) and Nikon D800.

I set up on the corner opposite the old Magistrates Court building; apparently it is in the The French Romanesque style..
"It was opened on 20 January 1914 and served the City for 81 years, before a new Magistrates' Court building was opened on William Street in 1995.
