Sensational 77-year-old - a photo on Flickriver

            C-faVO, a Curtiss-Wright C-46D-10-CU Commando, at Yellowknife Airport in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

Serial number 33242 began its career as 44-77846 with the United States Army Air Forces in February 1945. 

From March 1964 until November 1969, it was leased by Deutsche Lufthansa AG from Capitol Airways, Inc. as N9891Z - hence the logo below the cockpit.

Today, it is one of two C-46s operated by Buffalo Airways Ltd. out of Yellowknife.
