Milky way

My first attempt in photographing the milky way. The Scorpius constellation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorpius

It was a nice, dark, cold night, far away enough from any town. No moon in sight, just a beautiful, clear night sky. Ideal opportunity to give astrophotography a try, something I had on my list for quite a while... I have to be honest, it wasn't all that comfortable wandering the night, looking for a best place to shoot, but luckily I was not alone. :-) Immediately, after taking the first photo, I was very surprised at what my camera could see, that my eyes couldn't... I had a dim light source behind me, which had nicely illuminated the pine trees on the right.
A beautiful and rewarding experience...
